Cranial Sacral Therapy

Jessie Davis, LMT  410-967-1892

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle therapy that works with your body’s innate healing system.  CST techniques were developed by osteopath, Dr. John E. Upledger. Dr. Upledger extensively researched the craniosacral system during his tenure at Michigan State. During your session, you will experience a series of light touch holds around the cranium and sacrum. These techniques will catalyze your body to self-correct holding patterns in the connective tissue surrounding the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). By bringing the central nervous system back into harmony all body systems receive tremendous benefits.  Craniosacral Therapy is highly recommended for individuals that experience the health concerns listed below.  It us also recommended for the elderly because it involves a gentle light touch.

Migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, motor-coordination impairments, autism, central nervous system disorders, orthopedic problems, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, scoliosis, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, emotional difficulties, stress and tension-related problems, fibromyalgia and other connective-tissue disorders, temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ), neurovascular or immune disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD) and post-surgical dysfunction
